Meals Program

What we offer

We provide nutritious, made-from-scratch meals to seniors and individuals with disabilities across CNY.

Delivered by our team of caring volunteers, these meals help clients maintain their independence and stay in their own homes. Whether you need meals temporarily or long-term, our program is here to support individuals of all income levels with reliable, affordable service.

Meals on your terms

You can choose the number of meals that suit your needs, whether it’s just one a week or every meal provided. Choose what works best for your lifestyle!

All menus are reduced sodium, modified fat, and diabetic-friendly. We also offer flexibility to accommodate dietary requirements due to medical conditions, including pureed, cut-up, renal, and food allergy diets. Special diets require medical documentation. Contact us for more information.

Eligibility

Our meal program is available to individuals who reside in our coverage areas (see below) and meet one or more of the following criteria:

Homebound and unable to cook, shop for, or plan nutritious meals, but otherwise able to live independently.

Rehabilitating from a short- or long-term illness.

Temporarily or permanently disabled.

Eligibility is not based on income, and anyone meeting one of the above criteria can apply. If you’re not sure about your eligibility, contact us.

Cost

We’re dedicated to making high-quality, nutritious meals for an affordable cost. Our meal program is offered at a minimal cost of $10 per day, which includes two meals (one hot meal, one cold meal) delivered to your door. If you are able to pay this nominal cost, we can quickly add you to the private pay account and get you set up for meal delivery.

For those who qualify, financial assistance is available to cover the cost. If you’re 60 or older, you may be eligible for assistance through the Wellness in Nutrition (WIN) Program. WIN clients can make a voluntary contribution toward the cost of services, which helps us provide more meals for people in need. Persons earning 185% of the Federal Poverty level, which is $2,413/month for a household of one, and $3,261/month for a household of two, are encouraged to contribute at the full cost of the meals.

Home Delivered Meals are administered and funded in part by the Onondaga County Department of Adult and Long Term Care Services, New York State Office for the Aging, and the Administration for Community Living.
